Explore Lake Taupo on a donut-shaped boat

Nominate your bubble captain, pack your picnic basket, bottle of wine or cheeseboard, and head out on Lake Taupo in your own eco-friendly donut boat. Spend two hours cruising the lakefront with your own music playing through the bluetooth speakers or book an evening sunset trip whilst enjoying the multicoloured lights onboard. The electric engine boats seat up to six and are very easy to use, cruising up to five knots. Doughboats are a fun and unique way to get your family or small group out on the water.

Raft the Tongariro River

The Tongariro River offers some of the most spectacular scenery you will see anywhere in the country. Take your bubble on a rafting adventure on the lower sections of the river with Tongariro River Rafting where the whole family can enjoy the gentle currents and fun bouncy rapids, with enough action to keep you on your toes but without scaring the younger members of your group. Your raft will be exclusive to your bubble with just your personal guide leading the way, from a safe distance in the rear of the raft.
