Craters Classic and Kids Craters Mountain Bike Events

In 2025 we are coming back bigger and better than ever. We’re heading back to the beautiful Wairakei Resort!

Craters Classic will showcase the best trails that the Taupō region has to offer. Expect to enjoy great racing, entertainment, music, food & beverage with plenty of events to choose from.

The 2025 dates for Kids Craters and Craters Classic are during the school holidays and ANZAC weekend.

Kids Craters - Friday April 25th (afternoon) and Craters Classic, Saturday April 26th.

The Kids Craters MTB Event aims to be a fun and friendly kids only mountain bike ride.

At Bike Taupō, we're passionate about encouraging a love for biking from a young age and that's why we're thrilled to be partnering once again with @GM Painters to bring you the Kids Craters Mountain Bike Event!

This event is more than just a race, it's an opportunity for young riders to build confidence, enjoy the thrill of the trails, and be part of a fun, supportive biking community.

At our event you get the chance to play in Taupo's biggest, and coolest back yard!
