Tukino Ski Field is a great place to visit if you want a quiet day on the snow away from the crowds, or if you are looking for new part of Mt Ruapehu to explore.
Cat Skiing
One of the highlights of a visit to Tukino is Cat Skiing. You will be transported in a snowcat to the very top of the Tukino Skifield. After soaking up the views of the Rangipo Desert and the Kaimanawa Ranges, you will be guided down the best runs by Tukino Snow Patrollers.
Stay on the slopes
Tukino Ski Field has three family-friendly club operated ski lodges available on-mountain beside the field - you can ski right to the door! The lodges are shared with 4-6 bunk beds in each room. Main meals are included in accommodation but guests must bring their own bedding. Ski and stay packages are available.
