Turangi is a great place to base yourself for the crossing. You have a range of places to stay and it is not far from the end of the track. We can pick up form most accommodation providers if it is central, if not we can pick up from the Turangi isite. We offer hire gear for the early shuttles. This is a easy way to get to and from the crossing. If you are a fast hiker you may like to take our late shuttle. If you want extra time take our earlier shuttle. Pick up in the afternoon is around 1:30pm-4:30pm (confirmed on the day). We have several departures between those times. This can give you as little as 6 hours or as much as 9.5 hours if you need it.
Turangi return shuttle to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing
Taupō
Turangi return shuttle picks you up from your accomodation in Turangi and takes you to the start of the track. In the afternoon we also pick up from the end of the track and bring you back to Turangi again.
